As a Senior Backend (API) Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable APIs for AI-powered enterprise pipelines. Your expertise in Python for backend API development will be crucial in this role. You should have a strong knowledge of Cloud (AWS) services like S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Bedrock, EKS, ECR, etc., and proficiency in developing and scaling distributed, loosely coupled APIs for text and image file ingestion, search, storage, and retrieval. It is essential to have a solid understanding of authentication & security, caching, event-driven processing, and logging/monitoring systems. In this role, it would be beneficial to have experience with Vector Databases such as MongoDB, Pinecone, FAISS, or similar for API & search implementations, as well as hands-on experience with containerization & orchestration (EKS, Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to end-to-end DevOps implementation in a cloud environment will also be a plus. Your responsibilities will include developing high-performance backend systems for handling large-scale data ingestion and retrieval and working on distributed system architectures, including message queuing, event-driven processing, and caching mechanisms. You will need to optimize API performance, security, and cloud deployment strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/LLM models into enterprise applications.
