As a Principal Solution Architect with a minimum of 12 years of overall experience in Java development or architecture, including at least 4 years of experience on cloud platforms and familiarity with implementing applications based on 12-factor app patterns, your role will involve collaborating with clients to assess their Java application landscape and identify opportunities for modernization. Leveraging your technical expertise in Java technologies, cloud platforms (specifically AWS), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), you will be responsible for designing and proposing cloud-native Java solutions that utilize modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud to meet customer requirements. You will develop and present modernization roadmaps aligned with cloud migration strategies, educating customer teams on the benefits of cloud platforms and modern software development practices like DevOps. Your responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native Java solutions for customer application modernization projects, potentially incorporating Python or NodeJS scripting to streamline processes. Staying abreast of the latest trends and architectures in the Java ecosystem, including microservices, cloud-native application development, containerization, and DevOps practices, will be essential. Working collaboratively with customer development teams, you will ensure successful application deployments and provide ongoing support, championing best practices for cloud deployment, scalability, and agility. Documenting technical designs, architecture decisions, API specifications, and cloud deployment strategies will also be part of your role. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Java applications, cloud deployments, and scripting integrations such as Python or NodeJS will be crucial. To excel in this role, you should possess proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud-native Java applications, along with in-depth knowledge of Java, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures. Experience with a major cloud platform like AWS (certification is a plus) and familiarity with Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, ELK Stack) are desired. Your skill set should also include expertise in REST/HTTP API design, development, and best practices, as well as strong experience in event-driven microservices design and development with tools like Kafka and AWS MSK. Additionally, you should stay updated with the latest trends in the Java ecosystem, have experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and other database technologies, and possess working knowledge of open-source technologies relevant to cloud-native application development and Java integration. Proficiency in either Python or NodeJS scripting, along with strong communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, and experience in client-facing roles, will be beneficial for this position. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with soft skills like effective communication, documentation, customer handling, and adaptability to unforeseen situations, are also essential for success in this role.,
