We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in Coimbatore. In this position, you will be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that drive our core applications. Your responsibilities will include working on challenging projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the technical direction of our products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Java, microservices architecture, and agile development methodologies and demonstrate a passion for building high-performance, reliable backend applications. Key responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable backend applications using Java, writing clean and well-documented code, participating in architectural discussions, and developing and consuming RESTful APIs. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate effectively with front-end developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders, participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, identifying solutions to improve system performance and security, and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices are also essential aspects of the role. Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices, and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement may also be part of the role. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and possess 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. Proficiency in core Java concepts, data structures, algorithms, and frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot is required, along with experience in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and databases. Experience with version control systems, build tools, testing frameworks, agile methodologies, and problem-solving skills are essential. Strong communication, collaboration, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also key requirements. Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, messaging systems, caching mechanisms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and performance tuning are desirable skills for this role. Contributions to open-source projects would be a plus.,
