Your main responsibilities will include providing design assistance by creating sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings. You will also be involved in developing mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts for upcoming collections. Additionally, you will delve into trend research, exploring the latest fashion trends, fabrics, and materials, and analyzing market trends to discover new design possibilities. Furthermore, you will assist in material sourcing, collaborating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fabrics, trims, and embellishments for the collections. You will also engage in prototype development, participating in the creation of samples and prototypes, offering feedback during fittings, and making necessary design adjustments. In close collaboration with the production team, you will ensure the accurate execution of designs and maintain meticulous records of design specifications and production progress. Moreover, you will interact with various departments like marketing and sales to align campaigns and support the organization of fashion shows, photoshoots, and other events. To thrive in this role, you should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is essential, along with strong sketching and visualization skills. A basic understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes is required, in addition to a creative mindset, attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational abilities.
