Event host

We are seeking an energetic and engaging Freelance Event Host who is fluent in both Tamil and English to host our travel-themed meetup events in Chennai. As the Event Host, you will be responsible for hosting and anchoring travel meetup events, leading icebreakers, Q&A sessions, and activities, and ensuring a smooth flow and high energy throughout the 3-hour events. Your key responsibilities will include engaging with attendees, coordinating with the Indian Rounds team, and being the cheerful face and voice of our brand during the meetups. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills in both Tamil and English, who is comfortable speaking in front of groups of 20-50 people. Prior experience in anchoring, event hosting, or theatre is a plus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about travel, interacting with people, and creating lively experiences. You must be available on weekends for approximately 3 hours per event, which will be held on selected weekends. Compensation for this freelance position will be discussed during the interview.
