Role Overview
The Event Content Producer plays a critical role in shaping the success of IT industry events by curating high-quality content, engaging with industry leaders, and ensuring relevance to target audiences. This role involves bringing together and working closely with a content advisory board to verify proposed topics, recruiting top-tier speakers, and managing an active community of tech professionals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of IT trends, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering insightful, industry-leading content.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Development

Research emerging IT trends, challenges, and innovations to develop cutting-edge event themes and topics.

Works closely with IDC’s analyst community to adapt research agenda into relevant and engaging topics for the event audiences.

Recruit and collaborate with the content advisory board—comprised of senior industry leaders and experts—to validate topics and ensure relevance to high-end delegates.

Structure event agendas, panel discussions, and breakout sessions tailored to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CSOs, IT and data architects, and tech decision-makers.

Develop compelling narratives and content formats that drive engagement, including case studies, fireside chats, and interactive Q&A sessions.

Oversee content creation, including session scripts, panel discussion guidelines, and promotional materials.

Utilize event tech platforms, polling tools, and audience engagement software to enhance participation.
Speaker Recruitment & Management

Identify, invite, and secure high-profile speakers, including technology and line-of-business leaders, CIOs, CSOs, CDOs, tech entrepreneurs, and other thought leaders.

Manage the entire speaker journey—from initial outreach to content briefing and session preparation.

Work with speakers to refine their presentations, ensuring alignment with event themes and audience expectations.

Coordinate logistics, session formats, and speaker panels for seamless event execution.
Content Advisory Board Coordination

Assemble and manage exclusive content advisory boards consisting of senior executives, investors, and tech influencers for each syndicated event.

Organize 2—3 meetings with the members to review proposed topics, gather insights, and validate session frameworks.

Use recommendations to refine event themes, enhance agenda structure, and ensure high strategic value for attendees.

Build strong relationships with members, leveraging their networks for speaker recruitment and event promotion.
Community Management & Engagement

Foster a thriving community of IT professionals, ensuring year-round engagement beyond the main events.

Develop and oversee online forums, exclusive roundtables activities, and pre/post-event networking initiatives.

Implement content-sharing strategies across digital channels, ensuring ongoing dialogue among IT executives and thought leaders.

Collaborate with marketing teams to drive audience acquisition, ensuring high participation from key industry stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Requirements

5+ years of experience in content production, event programming, or editorial roles within the IT or tech industry.

Strong knowledge of enterprise IT trends such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI, DevOps, and digital transformation.

Proven experience working with senior executives, thought leaders, and advisory boards to shape content strategy.

Exceptional stakeholder management and speaker recruitment skills.

Strong research, writing, and editorial abilities, with the ability to translate complex IT topics into engaging discussions.

Familiarity with virtual event platforms, live-streaming, and digital engagement tools

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
