Full Stack Developer PURPOSE The Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex web applications. This role is also responsible for leading and mentoring other developers on the team and ensuring that they follow best practices. EXPECTED OUTCOMES AND DELIVERABLES Serve as a Subject-Matter-Expert on frontend development - Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in development - Always be on the lookout for opportunities to improve, and provide recommendations to management Design, develop and document complex web applications using React, GraphQL, Node.js, C#, SQL and other related technologies - Write high-quality code that is maintainable, scalable, and performant - Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, including documentation that outlines integration points between systems - Provide accurate work estimations - Design and interact with complex databases and integrate with other databases and systems using web services - Understand business/functional requirements and create technical requirements Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality - Together with the Business Analyst, Solution Architect and Project Manager; review client/partner business requirements and Statement of Work (SOW) and evaluate requirements against existing out of the box solutions - Design technical solutions, ensuring all stakeholders needs are considered and factored into project scope Collaborate with developers, Solution architects and OPS teams to integrate the front-end codebase with the back-end system, ensuring seamless transmission of data - Ensure codebase is aligned with the design vision, and that the user interface is intuitive and easy to use - Collaborate with Project Team within the Professional Services Department to ensure smooth implementation Lead and mentor employees within the Professional Services Team - Train and support the professional development of junior employees to become independent and maintain a high standard of work and accuracy - Participate in code reviews to ensure that the team is following best practices Identify and resolve technical problems, bugs, and performance issues - Use debugging tools and techniques to identify and diagnose technical issues in the codebase - Create and maintain test frameworks, libraries, and utilities to streamline automation testing. - Optimize the codebase for performance, including reducing load times, minimizing file sizes, and optimizing image assets REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - Communication: Provides and receives information of varying complexity with ease, achieving desired communication outcomes - Teamwork: Works cooperatively across teams and organizational boundaries to achieve shared goals - Adaptability: Adapts their approach as the requirements of a situation change; easily accepting changes in their work environment or job requirements - Continuous Learning: Possesses willingness and ability to learn by regularly upgrading their skills, increasing knowledge to enhance personal and organizational performance - Problem solving: Understands work-related problems or situations and takes action to resolve them appropriately; able to break problems down into component parts and analyse before providing a solution TECHNICAL SKILLS Requirements - Strong focus on React - Strong understanding of web development concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks - Backend development using Node.js or other related technologies - Experience with C# .NET API and web services - Proficiency in GraphQL or RESTful APIs - Proficiency in MS SQL Server, T-SQL - Experience with Version Control (Git, GitLab or similar) - Proficiency with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, or similar Nice to Have - Backend development using Node.js or other related technologies - Frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue - Proficiency with Visual Studio, Redis, Docker, Azure and Linux - Experience developing Visual Studio Code - Experience with .NET Core a big plus - Azure or other cloud platforms - Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is an asset - 5+ years of experience in frontend development - Required to pursue and stay up to date with training modules, courses, and certifications as prescribed by Evenica WORKING CONDITIONS & TRAVEL - Some overtime outside of the standard hours outlined above may be required - Hybrid expectations to complete work in office and at home PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Required to sit and work at a computer approximately 90% of the time - Repetitive wrist and eye strain - Ability and dexterity to operate a computer, keyboard, and basic hardware
