As an Electrical Engineer with experience in basic and detailed design as well as project coordination of Electrical works on EHV/HV Switchyard projects, you should have successfully led at least two medium to large size EPC projects. Your role in an engineering office or consultancy should demonstrate your expertise in Electrical System and Physical design, along with a solid understanding of principles, practices, and coordination with other technical disciplines. It is essential that you possess knowledge of Indian, US, Euro, and other foreign codes/standards, along with familiarity with local practices. Your responsibilities will include preparing or contributing to conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, design criteria, specifications, budgets, and schedules for projects of varying complexity. You will guide engineers in performing conceptual design, System study, Equipment sizing, protection study, single line diagram creation, Metering and protection diagram preparation, Cable sizing, earthing calculations, and protection coordination study. Additionally, you will assist engineers/designers in detail design tasks such as layout, main cable route planning, A/G tray and underground layouts, lighting design, earthing solutions, and cable schedule development. Your role will also involve providing guidance in MR/SR preparation, bid analysis, and making recommendations based on your expertise. Furthermore, you will review and check the work of subordinate engineers, contributing to their performance evaluation and fostering a work environment characterized by openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Site experience will be considered an added advantage, and experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, Data Centers, and Battery manufacturing will also be beneficial. Your required knowledge and skills should include a broad understanding of major design engineering deliverables, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work, and being conversant with applicable design codes governing Electrical systems, Equipment, and Physical design. Furthermore, you should have a good understanding of engineering planning and control methods, construction practices, industry or regulatory codes and standards, and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to write technical reports, are also essential for this role.
