You have an Environment Engineering degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management / Sustainability management. You bring at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in working across industry sectors (preferably manufacturing/infrastructure) plus experience of working in corporate functions as Environment expert is an added advantage to identify environmental risk and opportunities as well as sustainability issues and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Understanding of global Sustainability standards / regulations like CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EU REACH, ROHS, GRI Reporting, etc. Advanced communication skills and ability to tailor communication to different target groups. Knowledge about management systems such as ISO 14001 is required. Sound knowledge about Microsoft PowerPoint and excel is required. Exposure to international industry practices, Indian and global development institutions, and their operational practice, and will be a desired attribute.

What you'll do You will play a pivotal role in implementing CSRD reporting requirements and the EU Taxonomy, with a particular focus on finance-related metrics. Develop the necessary capabilities, including processes, internal controls, and systems, to meet all mandatory environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting requirements globally. You will possess extensive knowledge of global regulatory ESG reporting requirements with specific expertise in European standards such as CSRD and EU taxonomy. You will focus on defining, developing and ensuring compliance with ESG reporting requirements. You will be capable of offering thought leadership to guide the Firm through the changing ESG environment. You will have significant expertise in regulatory reporting and internal controls, as well as in developing and enhancing scalable processes to address current and future challenges. You will be instrumental in integrating sustainability considerations into our financial practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate with various teams (Global Social Responsibility, Legal, external advisors, SGP) to ensure seamless coordination and readiness to meet our ESG regulatory reporting obligations. You will conduct consolidation and reporting of the financial metrices for external reporting and serve as a knowledgeable advisor on the firm's evolving ESG reporting framework, ensuring compliance with current and future requirements, and assess the applicability of new global regulations at both the firm and legal entity levels. You will establish a robust reporting process for generating mandatory firm and entity-level ESG reports, such as those required under CSRD and the EU Taxonomy. Facilitate the link between Finance and sustainability to foster cross-functional partnerships with stakeholders in GSR, Legal, HR, Real Estate, and Controllership. You will develop and operationalize standardized policies and processes for sustainability reporting, including materiality assessments, disclosure controls and procedures, and estimation approaches. Facilitate the audit process and assurance of ESG reporting, where required You will work with various data provider teams to gather the data needed to support mandatory ESG disclosures. Drive and ensure execution of ad hoc initiatives and participation in projects. Qualifications Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Masters/ MBA preferred. Big 4 experience exposures are plus Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on sustainability-related topics such as ESG, CSRD and EU Taxonomy Strong understanding of CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and other sustainability-related regulations Strong understanding of general accounting concepts with an ability to perform technical accounting research, in particular, business combination accounting Demonstrated experience in integrating sustainability considerations into financial practices Computer literacy including strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences Experience in managing projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams Team player, flexible, and ability to resolve conflicts Ability to maintain confidential information Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; ability to perform well under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines Excellent organizational ability and keen attention to detail Self-motivated, responsive, and end-product oriented Strong customer service orientation

The Team Sustainable1 (S1) was established to provide the data, tools and insights needed by companies, investors and policy makers to deliver the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient economy. S1 content set that is being added to the list of services we currently offer under Market Intelligence. S1 creates Value for our Clients; Value to Investors in mitigating risk of long term investments and Value to Corporates through long term financial performance. This team will be focused on collecting broad range of Environment data through a variety of company and governmental sources, to provide users with an in-depth, multi-faceted view into the nature and strength of a companys resistance to changes in Climate components, liaise with various critical stakeholders in understanding and building the content set. Responsibilities & Impact: As a part of Sustainable1 (S1) team, you will deliver and maintain accurate, complete and timely data sets while taking into account the business divisions global interests and needs internally & externally. This role will involve working with the team and the management on a variety of initiatives related to European Taxonomy operations. This is an opportunity to lead the team consisting of 12 to 15 individual contributors and contribute towards achieving the goals of team. Accountability would be towards understanding and owning the business objectives; be a role model for people and peer group; communicate with passion and enthusiasm, embrace change as a way of working; and lead by example when communicating new initiatives. Manages the performance review process, talent development and talent management processes of the team.
