As a Senior Consultant in the Market Risk team within EY's Financial Services Office (FSO), you will be part of a specialized unit that offers a wide array of services tailored to the financial industry. The FSO practice delivers comprehensive advisory services to various financial institutions, including banks, investment firms, insurance companies, and energy trading entities. Your role will involve assisting clients in identifying, measuring, managing, and monitoring market risks associated with their capital market activities. In this position, you will play a key role in implementing strategic changes across risk management, treasury, and trading functions. Your responsibilities will include leading components of client engagements, staying informed about market trends, managing risks, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. Additionally, you will be involved in mentoring junior consultants within the organization. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a quantitative discipline. You should have a strong understanding of financial products, statistical techniques, and risk management principles. Knowledge of mathematical concepts related to pricing derivatives and experience in market risk or counterparty credit risk are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions are also required. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM, as well as prior experience in modeling and regulatory knowledge in areas like Basel or CCAR. Familiarity with ETRM/CTRM systems and risk management tools is a plus, along with a willingness to travel for client engagements. Previous project management experience would be beneficial for this role.
