As a GCP Data Engineer at our organization, you will be a key member of our growing data team. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who is passionate about data and has a strong track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role will involve transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using various GCP services and programming languages. You will leverage Google BigQuery as a primary data warehouse, design optimal schemas, write efficient SQL queries, integrate data from diverse sources, and build, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT processes. Furthermore, you will design efficient data models in BigQuery, automate data workflows, ensure data quality and governance, optimize performance, collaborate with various teams, and ensure data security and compliance with regulations. To be successful in this role, you should have 5-7 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on GCP. You must possess hands-on expertise with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub. Strong SQL skills, understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling experience, and familiarity with version control systems are essential. Problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are also required. Preferred qualifications include a GCP Professional Data Engineer certification, experience with other cloud platforms, knowledge of Linux, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, proficiency in data visualization tools, and experience with data quality frameworks and observability tools.
