Job Description

Job Summary:

The ETL Tester will be responsible for validating and verifying ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong quality engineering capabilities, a thorough understanding of ETL processes, and exceptional SQL skills to write complex queries for data validation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes.
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes by conducting thorough testing throughout the data pipeline.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ETL specifications.
Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity.
Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
Participate in data modeling and data design discussions to ensure testability and quality.
Continuously enhance testing strategies, methodologies, and tools to improve overall testing efficiency.
Document testing processes, results, and defects, and track issues to resolution.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve ETL processes and data quality.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in ETL testing and data quality assurance.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in ETL testing, data validation, and quality engineering.
Strong expertise in SQL and experience writing complex queries for data validation and analysis.
Proficient in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi) and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with data quality tools and techniques for data profiling and cleansing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in automated testing frameworks and tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices is preferred.
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
