ETL Data Engineer

Role Overview: As an ETL Data Engineer with 6-9 years of experience, you will collaborate with analysts and data architects to develop and test ETL pipelines using SQL and Python in Google BigQuery. Your primary responsibility will be to perform data quality checks, implement validation frameworks, and optimize BigQuery queries for performance and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and test ETL pipelines using SQL and Python in Google BigQuery. - Perform data quality checks and implement validation frameworks. - Optimize BigQuery queries for performance and cost-efficiency. - Develop ETL/ELT pipelines, data profiling, validation, quality/health check, error handling, logging, and notifications. Qualifications Required: - Advanced level SQL skills including complex SQL logic, window functions, CTEs, pivot/unpivot, and proficiency in stored procedure/SQL script development. - Proficiency in writing maintainable SQL for transformations. - Expertise in writing modular and reusable ETL logic using Python, with familiarity in JSON manipulation and API consumption. - Hands-on experience in developing within the Google BigQuery environment, understanding of partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning. - Experience in ETL pipeline development, data profiling, validation, quality/health check, error handling, logging, and notifications.
