About The Opportunity We are partnering with a leading provider in the network infrastructure and telecom services sector to recruit a seasoned Network Engineer specializing in MPLS and IP/Ethernet technologies. In this on-site role based in India, you will design, deploy, and manage scalable, high-availability networks that underpin critical enterprise and service-provider operations. Role & Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain MPLS VPNs, VLANs, and QoS policies across core and edge routers/switches. Implement and troubleshoot L2/L3 IP/Ethernet networks, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols. Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize routing for low latency and high availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network solutions supporting enterprise applications and services. Perform root-cause analysis, manage network incidents, and ensure compliance with SLAs. Maintain detailed network documentation, standard operating procedures, and conduct regular network audits. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating MPLS networks. Proficiency with Cisco or Juniper routers and switches, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS L3VPN, and VPLS. Strong understanding of IP/Ethernet LAN/WAN technologies and QoS implementation. Preferred CCNP or CCIE certification in Service Provider or Enterprise tracks. Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting) and monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP). Test plan creation and test execution (On Genset/Matlab based simulation system-HIL/MIL) DFMEA, FTA/Fishbone and any other Six sigma tools Knowledge and understanding of System V-diagram Datalink domain Knowledge ISO 7-layer Communication Protocols: Ethernet, CAN, Modbus Electronic Control Architecture - microprocessor, SW, Service tool, HMI Good To Have Modbus RTU/TCP.
