What you ll do: Having hands-on experience in various Cybersecurity activities including but not limited to - Cybersecurity assessments and penetration testing, Authentication and access control, security protocols, secure coding, preferably on embedded, ICS and IoT products Understand and interpret the Customer Cybersecurity Requirements and drive their implementation in Eaton products. PIC is involved in the production and development of many different control systems that are sold to external customers. Each member of the Software Group has the responsibility for ongoing development of existing products and the support of the Project Engineering and Service Groups. Additionally, the development of control systems for new UOP processes are regularly undertaken by the group. The PIC department is accountable for the production and development of custom control systems based on PLCs and PCs that are sold to external customers. Key Responsibilities Execution of programming tasks for assigned projects, within budgeted hours and schedule at required level of quality Provide recommendations for improving software/programs, service support and testing activities to improve the competitiveness of UOP PIC products Support maintenance and development of systems (ISO-9001) and resources (coaching & training) so that PIC area can effectively transfer technology to the marketplace in a manner that maximizes value to UOP and to our customers Identifying and executing opportunities for continuous work process and productivity improvements, for optimization of project deliverables by maximizing efficiency through better methods, masters, systems, and tools; minimizing the costs Configuring/networking PCs, Virtual Machines (VMs) and control system hardware to allow simulation, integration, testing and/or troubleshooting of hardware and/or software Regular reporting on the status of assigned projects and tasks Typical Tasks Would Be Customizing and/or developing software architecture, logic (coding in multiple languages), and operator interface applications Support and/or perform integration, testing, verification, and validation Converting functional specifications or process control ideas to software Creating/improving master programs Feature Definition Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE You Must Have Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Computer) or Computer Science 7+ years of control systems software development and customization experience We Value Experience with UOP PIC control system product lines such as PSA, ACCS, DRCS, CRCS, etc. Experience in developing/customizing control systems software for batch or continuous process application in the refining and/or petrochemicals industries is considered ideal Working knowledge of Honeywell control system products and software including Experion HMIWeb, Safety Builder, Safety Manager, Control Builder and C300 as a strong plus Working knowledge of HMI programming software such as InTouch Wonderware as a plus. Working knowledge of programmable controllers and its programming software such as Invensys Tricon/Trident, Tristation, Siemens S7, Modicon M580, EcoStruxure ControlExpert, Studio5000 and/or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC as a strong plus Understanding of interfaces such as RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, fiber optic, and interface protocols such as Modbus and Object Linking & Embedding for Process Control (OPC) Understanding of control panel electrical schematics including components such as power supplies, breakers, relays, and analog and digital wire loops Understanding of the concepts and role of software within control systems as a key Understanding various software development lifecycle. Controls Engineer - PLC programming and IOT Responsibilities Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor. Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives Should design, implement, and test a wide range of I/O (HART, Modbus, FF, Profibus etc.), basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface and other control components on DCS and PLC. Documenting the project control and safety functions, presenting them to the customer and get approval. Preparing simulations, test scenarios, test documentation, and participates in customer Factory Acceptance Tests. Actively participates in project meetings, discussion with customers, visiting sites and supporting commissioning activities Should be able to troubleshoot the control and communication problems between different systems during FAT and at site. Compiles and maintains project databases, configuration data, or other project information. Compiles data and prepares reports for various activities such as customer proposals, FEED studies, project design documents, FAT and SAT procedures etc. Shall be capable to identify technical opportunities and economic justification for control system improvements and communicates those to the Project Manager and/or Sales Qualifications Graduate in Engineering Disciplines EElectronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience Essential Skills Should have the basic understanding of programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, Safety systems, Fire & Gas systems, IIoT and Industry 4.0 Should aware of industry standards and practices (e.g., ISA standards) that apply to control system design. Should have firm and increasing understanding of process control concepts and techniques. Should understand networking devices & components like ethernet switches, Fiber optic switches,firewalls etc., Should understand the various industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, HART, FF etc., Should have good communication skills.
