Job Title: Structural Engineer Estimation & Costing (Warehousing Projects) Location: Mumbai, India Experience: 3 8 years Industry: Industrial & Logistics Infrastructure (Warehousing) Department: Design & Engineering Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with a strong background in Design, Estimation & Costing for large-scale warehousing and logistics park projects across India. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of structural design principles, industrial building codes, and steel structure design, along with hands-on expertise in project estimation, costing, BOQ preparation, and tendering processes. Key Responsibilities Structural Engineering Design and analyse structural components of warehouse projects including pre-engineered buildings (PEBs), RCC works, pile foundations, and infrastructure development. Prepare and review structural drawings, design calculations, and construction methodologies. Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and site execution teams to ensure integrated structural solutions. Ensure adherence to relevant IS Codes, NBC norms, and industry best practices for structural safety and durability. Estimation & Costing Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for structural and civil works based on drawings, technical specifications, and site visits. Analyse material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs and prepare rate analysis. Evaluate contractor bids, assist in tender documentation, and conduct value engineering exercises. Monitor project budgets and forecast costs at various stages of project execution. Provide input for project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Qualifications & Skills Education Bachelor’s degree in civil/ Structural Engineering (B.E./ B. Tech) from a reputed institute. M. Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred but not mandatory). Experience 3–8 years of experience in structural engineering with at least 4–5 years in estimation and costing of industrial/ warehouse projects. Proven experience in pre-engineered buildings (PEB), RCC foundations, and heavy civil works related to warehousing. Technical Skills Proficiency in structural design software like STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit (optional). Expertise in MS Excel (advanced) Familiar with Indian Standard Codes (IS), CPWD/ DSR rates, and local material and labour pricing. Soft Skills Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and report-writing abilities. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. The State Monitoring and Reporting Officer will compile and analyze data, prepare presentation on field findings and compile reports for appropriate and corrective actions by various state departments. In this role you will be responsible to: Support SPR in developing/streamlining the reporting system from block, district, state levels for NI focused interventions. Prepare software-based data collection tool and data visualisation dashboard. Support state government in the compilation of data/ reports received from all projects supported by NI on monthly and quarterly basis. Work closely with the state government’s Data Manager and extend necessary support in analysing data generated through HMIS or any other state specific software. Build capacity of partner NGOs and government staff in monitoring, analysing and reporting on the coverage data and other process indicators. Prepare progress report including HMIS and program monitoring data under the guidance from SPR on a monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual basis on key indicators as applicable in the state for both internal (India Country Office) and external consumption. Facilitate estimation of correct denominators for calculating supplies required so that state government can allocate appropriate budget in the annual plans. Support assessment of state, district, block wise stock availability of fortified staples, IFA, Zinc and ORS, Calcium, Albendazole, and other micronutrient supplies as per the target population.
