Please note this is for a manufacturing company in product castings Role & responsibilities Analyse customer RFQs, technical specifications, engineering drawings, and project requirements. Develop detailed cost estimates covering material, manufacturing, machining, testing, inspection, and logistics. Coordinate with internal departments like Production, Engineering, SCM, and Quality to gather relevant inputs. Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements and company capabilities. Maintain a comprehensive database of costing parameters, process routings, and vendor price lists. Interact with vendors and subcontractors for outsourced services costing when required. Support Sales and Application teams during technical discussions and commercial negotiations. Benchmark cost estimates against historical data and recommend pricing strategies. Identify cost optimization opportunities and support margin improvement initiatives. Assist in the handover of awarded projects to the Execution team with complete technical and commercial documentation. Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field, with 6–10 years of experience in estimation, costing, or proposal engineering roles within the manufacturing or foundry industry. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of casting processes, materials and production methods. Prior experience in centrifugal and static casting environments will be preferable. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, excellent costing acumen, and the ability to collaborate across production, engineering, and sales teams to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.
