Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Sustainability Consultant with a strong background in Middle Eastern green building rating systems, such as Estidama (PBRS), Mostadam, GSAS, and LEED. The successful candidate will be responsible for client-facing engagement, liaising with local authorities and rating bodies, and managing the sustainability compliance strategy for various high-profile developments across the region. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, project teams, and green building rating authorities (e.g., Estidama, USGBC). Lead project documentation, submissions, and coordination with rating system reviewers to ensure timely certification achievements (e.g., Pearl Rating, GSAS Stars, LEED certification). Interpret sustainability frameworks and translate regulatory requirements into actionable strategies for design, construction, and operation. Present and explain sustainability compliance approaches to clients, stakeholders, and government representatives. Support sustainability assessments, including energy modeling , water efficiency , material selection , and indoor environmental quality . Review and provide quality assurance for submission documents, calculators, and technical reports. Attend and lead technical meetings, design charrettes , and workshops with multidisciplinary teams. Monitor updates to regional green building codes and proactively adapt project strategies. Guide the implementation of sustainability best practices from concept through post-occupancy. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, or a related field . Minimum of 5 years of experience working on green building projects in the Middle East . In-depth understanding of at least two of the following: Estidama PBRS, GSAS, Mostadam, LEED (v4/v4.1) . Experience with submitting and defending documentation to rating authorities in the UAE, Qatar, or KSA. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to confidently interact with senior clients and government reviewers . Proficient in sustainability tools (e.g., IES VE, LEED Online, One Click LCA, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite. Professional credentials such as LEED AP, PQP (Estidama), GSAS-CGP, Mostadam AP are highly preferred. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
