You are invited to join the team at Gartnavel General Hospital Estates Department as a Mechanical Multi Skilled Technician within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. As one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, we strive to provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when including regional and national services. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a variety of building services plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient systems of work are in place. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering a high standard of mechanical services support to meet the needs of NHS GG&C Health Board, ultimately contributing to the safe delivery of patient care. Key responsibilities include examining and identifying faults in plant and machinery, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, and managing workload effectively. Your qualifications as a competent tradesperson with relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably within the healthcare sector, will be essential for success in this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a recognized EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification, and an HNC or equivalent in a core subject. Training to become a certified Competent Person will also be provided as necessary for the duties of the post.
