As a PCB Designer at Electrify Services, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients to enhance their products and elevate their businesses to new heights. This individual contributor position offers you the opportunity to directly impact company growth and customer satisfaction. You will be an integral part of our dynamic team, and we envision this role expanding as our company continues to evolve. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize PCB designs by considering layout, electrical and mechanical constraints, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. You will be tasked with reading schematics, placing components strategically to minimize parasitic capacitance and inductance, and implementing advanced PCB layout techniques for power electronics circuits. Additionally, you will review and analyze electrical design schematics, collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues, and perform placement and routing of PCBs using Altium software. Furthermore, you will prepare PCB routing layouts and manufacturing data, generate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing artwork. You will also drive the development of corporate PCB design standards by staying informed about PCB materials technology, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques. Your role will involve conducting design feasibility studies to identify trade-offs related to packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance. To excel in this role, you must have experience with Altium software and possess 6 months to 1 year of PCB design experience. Your background should include working with high voltage analog design, low voltage sensor signals, and high-speed digital design. You should be well-versed in impedance-controlled circuits, layer stack-up trade-offs, and PCB panel optimization. Proficiency in implementing design constraints, managing libraries, and creating 3D models of parts and PCBs is essential. Moreover, you should have a solid understanding of electronic circuitry, electromagnetics, and best practices to mitigate EMI/RFI and ESD issues. Familiarity with IPC standards, DFM/DFT experience, and excellent communication skills are key requirements for this role. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is crucial for success in this position.
