The Client Executive is a senior-level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The VP Client Executive also acts as an intermediary in trading for clients. The main goal of this role is to serve as a strategic advisor to clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for them. As a Transaction Relationship Manager (TRM), you will leverage your broad knowledge and experience to review Bond, Loan, Escrow, Account Bank, and DCM structures and documentation from initiation through closing across the APAC region. You will be responsible for translating legal documents into practical processes for the business and act as the primary liaison with outside counsel/clients, driving negotiations. The TRM will be the main point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external parties on new and existing transactions. Your responsibilities will include negotiating deal documentation at the beginning of a deal to ensure operational and documentation standards meet Citi criteria. Throughout the deal's lifespan, you will review documentation to address internal and external inquiries, ensuring compliance with agreed terms between commercial parties. You will need to be a collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset to handle ad-hoc requests and tasks effectively. Additionally, specific requirements for the role will involve a working knowledge of Non-Debt Rules & Deposit Regulations, 2016 (RBI) for Escrow Accounts in India. You will need to possess 6+ years of relevant experience in Legal practice and Debt Capital Market, with a track record of drafting and vetting complex commercial agreements/documents through negotiation. The ability to successfully negotiate with internal and external parties, including law firms, to mitigate risks is essential. Proficiency in working under tight deadlines, along with qualifications in civil or common law jurisdiction, is desired. An advanced understanding of PPT, Excel, and Word (MS Office) is necessary, along with familiarity with Non-Debt Rules & Deposit Regulations, 2016 (RBI) for Escrow Accounts in India. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, while a Master's degree is preferred. This role falls under the Institutional Sales job family group and specifically the Investor Sales job family. It is a full-time position that requires strong negotiation skills, legal expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
