The ERPNext/Frappe Support Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of ERPNext applications by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and assisting end-users. This position bridges the gap between technical development and business operations, helping teams fully leverage ERPNexts capabilities. The support engineer will handle incident resolution, system maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational technical skills who is eager to grow into an ERP development or administration role! Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for ERPNext users, addressing technical queries and resolving issues. Diagnose and resolve software bugs, configuration errors, and integration issues. Handle support tickets, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with the development team to escalate complex issues when necessary. 2. System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor ERPNext system performance and proactively identify potential issues. Assist in maintaining and configuring the ERPNext environment (e.g., server setups, user roles, permissions). Support database management tasks like backups, basic queries, and performance optimization. 3. Customization & Configuration: Help users configure existing ERPNext modules to meet their business needs. Assist in setting up workflows, reports, and custom fields through the ERPNext interface. Test minor customizations and document feature requests for developers. 4. User Training & Documentation: Provide training sessions for new users on ERPNext features and best practices. Create and maintain user manuals, FAQs, and technical documentation. Prepare troubleshooting guides to help users resolve common issues independently. 5. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Participate in requirement-gathering sessions with business teams. Share feedback with developers to help enhance ERP functionalities. Contribute to internal knowledge bases and process improvement initiatives. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Python and the Frappe framework. Familiarity with ERPNext . Understanding of relational databases ( MySQL , PostgreSQL ) and basic SQL queries. Experience with version control systems like Git (a plus). Knowledge of APIs and basic web technologies ( HTML, CSS, JavaScript ) is advantageous. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
