Position Name : Project Manager (Underground Coal Mine) Location : Korba Qualification : Graduate / Masters in Mining Engineering with 1st Class certificate for underground mines. Experience : Min. 18 years experience, with min. 10 years experience in underground mines. Job Purpose: The incumbent will be responsible for the planning & execution of the coal mine allocation/ vesting order issued in favour of the company & coal mine production & development agreement (CMPDA) signed by the company with Nominated Authority, Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India. The incumbent has to provide the leadership to project members, co-ordinate with management and project stakeholders to ensure opening of Underground Coal mining Project well within the time as stipulated in performance parameters in said CMDPA of the said coal mine & budget approved by the management for the purpose. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: He will lead all aspects of the greenfield underground Coal Mine - to develop a detailed project plan. ensure successful execution and management of the project which would include project design, erection, commissioning to commercial production & post commissioning operations. This will also include mine planning -approval of statutory Mine Plan, timely obtaining of required regulatory approvals i.e. Forest Clearance, Environment Clearance, CTE/CTO etc. liaising with government bodies such as the Ministry of Coal, CMPDI, Local Administration Coal Controller, State Pollution Control Bored, etc. The role will also involve overseeing geological surveys, land acquisition, CSR initiatives and maintaining positive community relation. Ensure all project expenditure is properly forecast, controlled/ monitored and complete in line with the project budget. Establish project teams coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff. He will also be responsible for ensuring the health, safety & environmental standards are fully considered in the project execution & measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
