Responsible for assisting Clinical tasks at Emergency Department, OHC Clinics and Medical Officers at Wards in coordination with Consultant - Casualty / Emergency, other Inter / Intra department Doctors and Health Care Colleagues at Hospital. Responsible for the assessment and immediate care for patients attending the Emergency Department and linked Emergency Care Network, OHC Clinics. This may be delivered personally or by supervision of other clinical staff and ensure that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that mitigate delays for patients and possible disruption of services. Will assist to initiate the plan of care for cases that come or referred to ER. Explain the patient and attenders the clinical problems and risks involved to every patient visiting ER. Coordinate with all the departments in the hospitals for faster quick functioning of ER cases. Responsible for patient care at all times. Guide and assist Nurses on clinical skills to manage patients in ER, OHC Clinic. Assist all ER Staff on documentation, clinical skills and communication. Ensure all medico legal documentation are completed in line with existing and current statutory requirements. Assist to train all the ER staff in BLS, ACLS, PALS and trauma life support programmes. Assist during code blue or code red alerts. Lean and assist for educational activities that help prepare Manipal Hospital - Mysore Staff to respond to any emergency situation. Assist for Emergency Procedures like Endotracheal Intubation, Central and peripheral Venous access, Ryles tube and catheter insertion etc. Exercising principles of safety. Explaining the patient and attenders the clinical problems and risks involved to every patient visiting ER. Participate in outreach clinics / programs as and when required. Practice Infection Control techniques and evidence based practice. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Doctor (Intensivist) to join our multidisciplinary ICU team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients requiring intensive care, including those with life-threatening conditions in need of advanced support and monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including those on mechanical ventilation, dialysis, or other advanced life support systems. Lead multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals. Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures (e.g., intubation, central line placement, arterial line insertion, chest tube placement). Respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrests, trauma cases, and sepsis within the ICU and in other hospital areas as needed. Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the ICU team. Supervise and train residents, fellows, and junior medical staff as required. Participate in ICU quality improvement initiatives, audits, and infection control practices. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all medical interventions and communications.
