You will Design and implement a comprehensive global employee relations strategy that aligns with business objectives and fosters a fair, inclusive, and compliant workplace. Standardize ER processes, and frameworks across all geographies while accounting for local legal and cultural nuances. Establish metrics, KPIs to measure the effectiveness of ER programs and drive continuous improvement. You will Investigate ER cases for India region and oversee the consistent handling and resolution of complex and sensitive ER cases across regions, ensuring alignment with company values and legal compliance. Implement efficient case management systems to track, analyze, and report on ER trends and outcomes. Provide expert guidance on employee disputes, performance management, investigations, and policy violations. You will Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and senior leadership to provide strategic ER insights and support decision-making. Advise and coach leaders on best practices for addressing employee concerns, mitigating risk, and fostering a positive work environment. Lead the development and delivery of ER training and communication initiatives for managers and employees globally. Operational Efficiency Ownership: You will Design scalable and efficient workflows that enable rapid and consistent execution of ER processes across global teams. Ensure investigations while maintaining confidentiality and minimizing organizational risk. Take ownership of global ER initiatives, driving accountability and delivering measurable outcomes. You will Leverage data analytics to identify patterns, assess organizational health, and provide actionable insights for proactive ER strategies. Monitor emerging trends and external benchmarks to refine ER practices and enhance employee experience. Prepare, present regular reports on ER metrics, key findings, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. What Youll Need to be Successful 8+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, labor relations, or HR, with a minimum of 3 years leading global ER initiatives. Proven track record of designing and implementing global ER strategies and processes. Knowledge of international labor laws, compliance frameworks, and cultural sensitivities. Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to handle complex, confidential matters with empathy. Have Analytical mindset with expertise in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across geographies and organizational levels. Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-SCP).

As a Vice President - Employee Relations at HSBC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of selected Business Change projects. You will provide strategic advice to the business and HR teams on various labor and employment matters, especially regarding key transformation and change initiatives. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing Employee Relations (ER) projects and initiatives, designing and implementing HR/ER policies in compliance with local labor laws and Group guidelines, and coaching HR colleagues and people managers on effective ER matter resolution. Your role will involve managing complex ER and whistleblowing issues, serving as a point of escalation for HOST Offshore India, and providing operational reporting and dashboards for tracking ER service delivery.
