Equity Research Analyst - IT Sector - Domestic

As an experienced candidate, you will be responsible for independently covering the IT and Internet sectors at an established Investment and Portfolio Management Services firm in Mumbai. Your key roles and responsibilities will include: - Undertaking deep research aligned with the firm's philosophy and process, which involves governance and accounting diligence, financial performance evaluation, competitive positioning analysis, industry trends assessment, and management quality evaluation to identify compelling investment opportunities. This research will also entail field work, channel checks, expert meetings, and attending industry conferences. - Establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision makers within the covered companies and industry figures. - Generating investment ideas for fund managers and effectively communicating well-researched investment thesis. Collaborating on research efforts with fund managers to build conviction in investment ideas when needed. - Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to forecast company performance, earnings estimates, and valuation metrics. Additionally, maintaining sector databases to track broad themes in the industry. Your functional and behavioral knowledge should include a thorough understanding of the IT and Internet sectors, encompassing different business and revenue models, strengths and weaknesses of various companies, and value drivers for each. You should possess 6-8 years of work experience in any sell-side or buy-side firm focusing on IT and Internet sectors, along with strong written and oral communication skills. The minimum and preferred education qualifications for this role include being a CA and/or MBA holder with a graduate degree from a respected university.,
