Equity Research Analyst - Capital goods/ Defence /Infra

As a candidate for the position at the boutique investment management firm, you will be expected to have the following qualifications and responsibilities: Role Overview: - You should have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in equity research, preferably on the buy side or sell side. - Your experience should include handling Small, Mid, and Large Cap sectors. - A passion for investing in equity markets is essential, along with a proactive approach and an eye for detail. You should be adept at employing a mix of top-down and bottoms-up approaches to investing. - Industry analysis skills are crucial, including the ability to understand competitive forces and industry dynamics. - Company analysis will be a key part of your role, involving financial modeling, tracking quarterly and annual results, attending earnings calls, and conducting deep dives into annual reports. - You will be responsible for generating a pipeline of new investment ideas within the company's investment framework. - Collaboration with industry and sector experts, conducting channel checks, and engaging with sell-side analysts and company managements will be part of your regular activities. - Your insights and analysis will enable the Investment Committee to make informed decisions regarding investee companies and new investment opportunities.
