About this role This is an opportunity to be a significant contributor to a growing and highly utilised team. You’ll hone your research, presentation and analysis skills through experience in the end-to-end M&A process. As an Analyst within Equiteq, you’ll have significant responsibility, advancement opportunities, client access and opportunities to work on a global platform. Key Responsibilities and Challenges: Research and prepare presentations which identify and explain industry trends Prepare confidential operating as well as transactional models, information memorandums, presentations and marketing documents in support of sale transactions Support execution of mergers & acquisition advisory mandates with a holistic footprint across the transaction workstreams (marketing, due diligence, project management & coordination) Identify, build, and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients What we are looking for? Knowledge & Experience: Exemplary academic record and demonstrated commitment to achievement Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting Demonstrable intent to drive excellence through rigour and attention to detail across work tasks Highest quality communication skills with clients as well as internal teams Excellent industry analysis and ability to abstract trends and insights from primary data Proficiency with MS Office applications, knowledge of specific investment banking databases (e.g. CapitalIQ, Pitchbook) is a plus Attributes: Personal Impact – able to build confidence quickly in order to be someone a client would want in their corner. Resilient – able to work under (at times, fairly intense!) pressure with definitive deadlines. This person will be a self-starter with a high degree of accountability and self-confidence. Education/Qualifications: Qualification to degree level in an appropriate discipline.
