EQUIPMENT & MATERIAL CERTIFICATION (EMC) SURVEYOR - (RAJKOT) INDIA

The position you are applying for is dedicated to conducting surveys of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units, as well as audits of manufacturing facilities. Your main responsibilities will include performing surveys and inspections of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units, conducting audits at manufacturing sites, generating comprehensive reports on survey/audit findings, and issuing certificates. You will also be required to liaise with manufacturers regarding surveys & audits. It is essential for you to stay updated with Bureau Veritas (BV) rules, industry developments, regulations, and best practices relevant to marine and offshore materials and equipment. You will need to follow technical working instructions issued by the Head Office Marine & Offshore Division, refer to BV Rules, standards, regulations, specifications and approved drawings for technical guidance, and ensure that stamps, tools, and notebooks are used according to working instructions. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting any claims or complaints received from clients to the manager. To qualify for this position, you should hold a BE or equivalent in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or possess an equivalent certification with 2-5 years of experience. Experience in materials and equipment surveying within the maritime and offshore industry or foundry is preferred. An in-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices is necessary. Previous experience with shipyard, marine & offshore projects or foundry will be considered an advantage. You should also have the ability to acquire new skills and knowledge, possess good communication skills in English, demonstrate team spirit, and be able to work with minimum supervision.,
