JOB PROFILE Role Objective : We are looking a candidate who can spot and shape long term custom manufacturing opportunities within the chloro toluene value chain. This role calls for a blend of technical understanding , business sense and strong relationships skills. Position will work closely with client , R&D , Production to turn ideas into sustainable business. Key Responsibilities : 1. Strategic Business Development - Identify and evaluate new product opportunities within the chloro toluene value chain. - Map out Indian and overseas customer pain points, regulatory needs, and CDMO gaps. - Build a healthy pipeline of qualified leads and convert them into partnerships. - Prepare and present business cases for internal alignment. 2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management - Engage with procurement teams, R&D heads, and decision-makers. - Develop tailored proposals and Long-Term Supply Agreements (LTAs). - Maintain key account relationships across the project lifecycle. 3. Technical & Commercial Bridging - Collaborate with internal teams to align technical feasibility. - Provide customer input for process development and optimization. - Understand basic chemistry to facilitate meaningful discussions. 4. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Mapping - Conduct value chain analysis and identify growth areas. - Track global pricing, supply-demand trends. - Map niche demands in related downstream sectors. 5. Revenue & Target Achievement - Deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets. - Negotiate price and delivery terms. - Ensure margin discipline and strategic fit. Desired Candidate Profile: Education: B.Sc / M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) / B.Pharm + MBA preferred Experience: Minimum 10 years in CDMO / Custom Synthesis / Specialty Chemical Industry Technical: Understanding of organic chemistry and impurity profiling Commercial: Proven custom manufacturing project development experience Soft Skills: Negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical thinking Personality: Entrepreneurial, self-driven, persistent
