The opportunity: As a member of Hitachi Energy PQS Electrical Engineering (EE) team, you will be responsible for the full cycle project engineering execution. This includes designing MACH hardware control and Protection systems, IED based conventional control Protection systems, Configuration & testing of Protection systems, and Auxiliary AC & DC system design. Your innovative and reliable solutions will also involve MV/LV Switch boards, Battery systems, Junction boxes, and LV Cable sizing and estimation. How you'll make an impact: - Design & execute PQS projects in accordance with customer specifications, FACTS standards, and Global standards such as IEC, ANSI, IEEE, etc. - Ensure project execution within budget by meeting all KPI's (Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Budget) - Interact with customers, officials, contractors, and others, attend project meetings, and present specific aspects of engineering assignments and Tender execution as per customer/FACTS requirements - Prepare MACH-based control and protection system cubicle design, IED-based control and protection system cubicle design, and FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary) - Design and estimate Aux. AC & DC power requirements, LV, MV Switch boards, including battery systems, UPS, and Voltage stabilizers - Estimate & Size LV Aux. power, control cables, communication cables & Indication cables - Coordinate purchasing of cubicles, cables, Junction boxes, AC & DC switch boards, MV Switchgear, Battery system, UPS & Voltage stabilizers, etc. - Collaborate with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/ Commissioning) to validate the project time schedule (EE Dept.) - Review and coordinate with vendor/supplier drawings for Electrical deliverables, including primary equipment - Provide Site and commissioning support as required, participate in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements - Evaluate sub-suppliers and select as per project requirements, contribute to customer FAT according to project demand - Offer Site support and commissioning support as required, prepare As Built Drawings - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity Your Background: - 6 - 10 years of experience in Substation secondary/EPC design or project execution or HVDC control & protection hardware design - Self-starter with the ability to own tasks through to completion - Strong attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Valuable experience in Control and Protection cubicle design - Experience in secondary engineering and EPC execution experience in Electrical Grid Industry (Switchyard equipment) - Experience in Substation/FACTS Project experience or similar field experience in E3 design tool or Similar design tool handling - Experience in Cable engineering and knowledge & Experience MS Office: Word, Excel - Team contributor with in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges, often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions - Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization, working independently, applying established local & global standards - Excellent English speaker with strong communication skills, proactive, willing to take on challenges and grow in the organization - Team player, ready to collaborate across different departments/countries, with a prominent level of ownership & accountability - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site due to your disability.
