Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Credit Manager with 710 years of experience in MSME lending , preferably within an NBFC environment. The ideal candidate is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in underwriting business loans , LAP , equipment loans , and supply chain finance . This position, based in Pune , is critical in maintaining credit quality while supporting scalable business growth. Key Responsibilities: Credit Underwriting Perform detailed financial and risk analysis of MSME borrowers. Underwrite credit proposals for business loans, LAP, equipment loans, and supply chain finance. Evaluate borrower profiles, including financials, banking patterns, GST data, and collateral. Policy & Process Compliance Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory norms. Recommend policy updates based on portfolio trends and market shifts. Portfolio Monitoring Track portfolio health, identify early warning signals, and mitigate emerging risks. Conduct regular reviews and reporting of portfolio performance. Stakeholder Coordination Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, Legal, and Risk for seamless credit processing. Engage with external agencies including valuation partners, credit bureaus, and field verification teams. Technology & Automation Contribute to credit digitization and workflow automation initiatives. Leverage alternate data and digital underwriting tools for enhanced credit decision-making. Experience Requirements: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 710 years of experience in credit underwriting. Prior experience in MSME lending within an NBFC or bank is mandatory. Strong expertise in underwriting secured and unsecured loans, including LAP and equipment finance. Deep understanding of financial analysis, ratio evaluation, and cash flow assessment. Familiarity with credit scoring models, compliance protocols, and bureau analysis tools. Based in Pune or open to relocation.
