Join us in shaping the grandmasters of tomorrow and elevate your game today! Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chess Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chess strategies, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping students of all ages and skill levels improve their chess abilities. This position requires at least one year of coaching experience and a minimum Elo rating of 1400 (based on the pre-rating change system). Although we are open to hire freshers as well but the candidate needs to have a FIDE Rating. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the skill levels and needs of individual students or groups. Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions to students of various ages and skill levels. Analyze students' games and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their performance. Teach chess strategies, tactics, and endgame techniques to enhance students' understanding of the game. Organize and oversee chess tournaments, competitions, and other related activities. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting coaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the world of chess and integrate relevant strategies into coaching sessions. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators (if applicable) regarding progress and areas for improvement. Promote the benefits of chess and encourage participation in the sport. Qualifications: Minimum Elo rating of 1400 (based on the pre-rating change system). At least one year of coaching experience, preferably with students of varying ages and skill levels. Strong understanding of chess strategies, tactics, and endgame techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and schedules. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by coaching schedules and tournaments. Previous experience playing in competitive chess tournaments is a plus. Certification from a recognized chess federation or coaching program is preferred but not required.
