Environment Architect

As an Environment Architect at Barclays, you play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence by spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape. Your primary responsibility is to harness cutting-edge technology, such as OpenShift Platform and various Cloud Platform Technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP, to revolutionize digital offerings and ensure unparalleled customer experiences. Your role involves hands-on experience in technical skills across different technology platforms, CI/CD pipeline support for DevOps teams, and knowledge of ITIL fundamentals for Change & Release Management. Additionally, you work with tools like Jenkins/Nolio, Git/Stash, VmWare Virtualization, and deployment tools to enhance the digital infrastructure. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing and delivering high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborating cross-functionally to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Participating in code reviews to promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Staying informed about industry technology trends and contributing to the organization's technology communities. - Adhering to secure coding practices and implementing effective unit testing practices. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Good understanding of OpenShift Platform and Cloud Platform Technology (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Proficiency in log parsing - Hands-on experience in technical skills related to Mainframe, Open Systems, Mid-Tier technology, Data warehouse, and Cloud OpenShift infrastructure - Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline support, ITIL fundamentals, and working on WAS, RIT, and aPaaS environments - Experience with tools like Jenkins/Nolio, Git/Stash, VmWare Virtualization, and deployment tools The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and enhance software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
