Area Sales Manager JD (ASM) An Equipment Sales job involves selling Field devices, Accessories or other equipment to businesses or individuals. This role requires understanding customer needs, demonstrating product knowledge, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. Sales representatives in this field also build and maintain relationships with clients, provide ongoing project and stay updated on industry trends. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, generating leads, and converting them into sales. Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. Product Knowledge: Developing a deep understanding of the equipment being sold, including its features, benefits, and applications. Demonstrations and Presentations: Conducting product demonstrations to showcase the equipment's capabilities and convince potential buyers. Negotiation and Closing: Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to finalize sales agreements. Sales Support: Providing ongoing support to clients after the sale, including installation, training, and troubleshooting. Market Knowledge: Staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments. Sales Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions. Skills and Qualifications: Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close deals. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, presenting information, and negotiating contracts. Technical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical, technical, or industrial equipment. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve customer issues and provide effective solutions. Customer Focus: Dedication to providing excellent customer service and building long-term relationships. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and work effectively with diverse individuals. Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the Field Sensor for BMS, Instrument / Electronic devices sales, Machinery sales etc. in Pharma industry, is often a plus. Qualifications Diploma & bachelors degree in electronic & Tele Communication, Instrumentation Engineer, BSC, MBA in Business, Marketing, or a related field Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Customer relationship management Strong negotiation and closing skills Presentation skills Ability to understand and explain technical specifications Market analysis MS Office Suite Salesforce / CRM Software knowledge Customer-focused mindset with a track record of meeting sales targets
