Job Title: Assistant Manager Accounting / General Ledger (GL) Location: Bangalore (BLR) Experience: 3-5 Years (can be adjusted as needed) Qualification: B.Com / CA Inter Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager – Accounting / General Ledger (GL) to join our Finance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, general ledger management, and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate financial records and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions. Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Handle month-end and year-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Support statutory and internal audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Monitor and analyze accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax) to ensure smooth financial operations. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory regulations. Assist in process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy in the GL function. Key Skills & Competencies: Good understanding of accounting principles and general ledger management. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: B.Com Graduate with strong academic record. CA Inter qualification is preferred. Prior experience in managing GL accounting in a corporate environment.
