The Manager Finance & Taxation will be responsible for overseeing all financial and taxation activities of the organization, including accounting, financial planning, tax compliance, audits, and advisory functions. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management & Reporting Oversee day-to-day finance operations including general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and treasury. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Manage cash flow, working capital, and fund flow to ensure business liquidity. Support management with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Preparation of Book debts statement, coordination with bankers, preparation of CMA data etc. Monthly MIS reporting of all departments to management. Adherence to relevant acts, rules, with up to date on amendments like companies act, income tax act. 2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect) Ensure compliance with all Direct Tax (Income Tax, TDS, Transfer Pricing, etc.) and Indirect Tax (GST, Customs, etc.) regulations. Prepare and file statutory returns (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.) within prescribed deadlines. Manage tax assessments & audits, litigation. Implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax liability while ensuring legal compliance. Keep track of amendments in tax laws and advise management on implications. 3. Strategic Finance & Advisory Provide insights and recommendations to management on cost control, financial efficiency, and profitability. Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring with financial and tax analysis. Assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies. 4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, guide, and mentor the finance and accounts team. Collaborate with cross-functional departments (HR, Legal, Procurement, Sales) to ensure financial compliance. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities. Qualifications & Experience Education: MBA / PGDM (Finance) or equivalent. Semi Qualified CA Experience: 8 -10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, and taxation. Preferable : Who is currently working in a CA Firm, with client handling. Strong knowledge of Indian Direct & Indirect Tax laws, Accounting Standards, and Corporate Law. Hands-on experience in TALLY software. Preferred Industry - Infrastructure engineering. Job location: Borivali East, Mumbai
