The Sales Support Specialist role at the India Operations Centre (INOPC) in Chennai, India requires a candidate who can effectively prepare comprehensive offers and quotations for Gas Insulated switchgear RFQ/Enquiries. Your responsibilities will include determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, collaborating with the Sales support team to offer solutions to country/region-specific customers, and working closely with Product Group Territory Marketing & Service Sales Managers for the global market. You will need to analyze customer needs using general market information and data provided by Service FES/Territory Managers to ensure that all proposals adhere to relevant Hitachi Energy Procedures and guidelines. Rationalizing terms and conditions, reviewing technical documents, identifying the scope of supply, preparing commercial quotations, and supporting ASMs during Offer/Quotation processes will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will coordinate with multiple functions such as Design, Project management, and SCM as part of the tendering activity, conduct cost analysis, and lost proposal analysis to enhance future offerings. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 1 to 3 years of professional work experience in GIS, EPC, or any High voltage/medium voltage electrical product sales & tendering. Proficiency in preparing and supporting Offer/quotation processes, familiarity with Sales/tendering tools, and knowledge of the Power Grid Market & System offerings are essential. Fluency in both spoken and written English is required to effectively communicate in this role. As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.
