BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:The primary focus of this position will involve conducting research activities under the project titled Coupling Conformational Dynamics and Ligand Binding of Transporters. The project employs multi-scale modelling approach involving molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced dynamics, and substrate binding analyses. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Project assistant will be responsible for: carrying out various research activities associated within the project. Stay up to date on the latest advancements in the field of computational biology and actively seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the workflow. Work effectively as part of a team Communicate scientific findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external audiences. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree or equivalent degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, and computationalnatural sciences or allied areas with an excellent academic record. Must be familiar with molecular modeling software, biomolecular simulations, and bioinformatics. Experience in programming languages such as Python, R with AI/ML experience. EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATION WITH SKILL SETS: Must be efficient with computational biology techniques, preferably molecular modeling & simulations. Exposure to experimental biochemical techniques is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, with strong teamwork skills and a collaborative apirit.
