Engineer/Senior Engineer - Electrical (CPP) (Dahej A)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure availability of all electrical equipment in plant at maximum efficiency at all times at minimum cost, maintaining safe & healthy environment at sustainable basis.
• Setting High Standards of result and performance with periodic evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Enhancing the knowledge & skill of self and others.
• Skills and Competencies required for the job: Should be able to efficiently and effectively utilize all resources at minimum cost by maintaining the quality of job, product and services as well as safe and healthy environment.
• Should have leadership quality to manage shop-floor workforce and executive staff using good interpersonal skill to maintain constructive relationship with other department as well as out- side agency such as Vendors, contractors.
• High level of understanding of technical knowledge of Plant equipments and process, standard maintenance practices of Power Plant, Latest development of equipment & technology in order to maintain the sound health of Plant & Machinery through the concept of continuous improvement.
• High degree of co-ordination and co-operation skill and attitude for implementation and sustain the momentum of World Class practices as well as other statutory requirements.
• The major challenge in the area is related to the Safety of the personnel and the Equipment with respect to highly corrosive environment. The various problems associated with the Selection of the Switchgears and their maintenance.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

• Technical Knowledge of electrical systems in a thermal/gas-based power plant, substations and MV power distribution system.
• Operation and maintenance of Steam and Gas turbine driven Generators and protection system.
• 66 kV, 100 MVA Switchyard
• HT / LT Transformers.
• HT/LT Panels, HT/LT motors, HT switchgears, PCC & MCC Panels.
• VFDs, UPS & Battery charger.
• LT DG Sets,
• Electrical Heaters and Heat Tracings.
• Electrical protection relays and switchgear functioning and coordination.
• Basics of electrical engineering with respect to qualification and years of experience.
• Computer applications for day-to-day report generation and maintenance records.
• SAP based material management, planning and maintenance.
• Manpower Management.
• Resource management to fulfill the requirements.
• Cost Management.

TOTAL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• Total 3 -7 years hands on experience in Power Plant with B.E./B.Tech in Electrical
