Experienced in shaping engineering processes, delivery governance, and team capability development. Proven ability to influence design and compliance strategies through direct engagement with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Passionate about digital transformation, with a focus on advancing MBSE, MBD, and digital continuity across the product lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • You will join the Aerostructure Engineering team, contributing across the full engineering lifecyclefrom initial concept and design through certification and build line supportcovering end-to-end (E2E) responsibilities.
  • Key responsibilities include the design and development of primary and secondary structural components (both metallic and composite materials), assemblies, and system installations for a range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft platforms.
  • Design and develop primary and secondary structural componentsboth metallic and compositefor rotary-wing aircraft, ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, structural integrity requirements, and OEM-specific design standards.
  • Use meshing and analysis guidelines for static, dynamic and impact analysis and ensure the FE models created by team are compiled to the guidelines and are of high quality.
  • Perform the checks and prepare FEA V&V documents, capture the required checks for the FE models. Also ensure the physics of the problem is correctly simulated in the FE models and if required use your expertise and guidance to align with the requirements.
  • Perform FEA analysis for static dynamic and impact analysis in alignment and compliance to the client specific and regulatory guidelines as per FAR 27/29 /CS/JAR/Military MIL-STD-1530 etc
  • Take up team engagements and knowledge sharing sessions for distributed teams across the programs and locations.
  • Design validation of structural through Classical and FE Analysis, and assist in detailed load path analysis, optimal material selection based on Analysis results and operational / design / environmental conditions. Document the details for presenting into the certification reports and certifying agencies.
  • Provide supporting evidence for the selection of optimum design by static stress analysis / Dynamic analysis and impact analysis evaluation of multiple structural design concepts through detailed trade-off analyses.
  • Comply to schedule, weight requirement and cost compliance by efficiently tracking methods. Follow escalation mechanism to ensure compliance.
  • Develop 3D and 2D FE models using specified software, adhering to industry and customer-specific modelling and analysis standards and guidelines.
  • Provide analysis results for the decision process of selection of reliable concepts out of multiple concepts based on the static, dynamic and impact stress analysis validation with future operational and maintenance and repair considerations.
  • Provide details from FE models for the weight estimation, its tracking, and control across all design phases, ensuring alignment with weight budgets and performance criteria.
  • Perform the task of mitigating the low RF / Low life and performance non-compliance issues based on discussion with SME/Leads or your expertise and experience. Align relevant details of these methods to SME/Leads to align with the client.
  • Documentation of iterations and outcomes for future reference.
  • Create the test FE models incorporating the failure, features and boundary conditions as per standard procedure and test fixture.
  • Design validate through analysis or classical calculations the Incorporated features and design aspects covering the downstream manufacturing and inspection processes, accessibility and in-service replacement/repair.
  • Prepare detailed presentation for reference and review.
  • Assist in during customer technical audits, program quality gate reviews, and change control reviews by providing the required analysis results and justifications. Professional & Technical Skills:
