Job Description

As an Engineering Manager in HVAC Design at HCI-Heavy Civil Infrastructure, Chennai Head Quarters, your role involves designing and developing HVAC systems for various building and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities include: - Designing HVAC systems for different building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and project requirements. - Overseeing the development of HVAC system designs from concept to detailed design and IFC. - Ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, NFPA, etc.), and local authority regulations. - Reviewing and approving design drawings, equipment selections, calculations, and technical specifications. - Collaborating with other disciplines such as Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, FPS, Architectural, Civil & Structural to ensure coordinated MEP designs. - Managing design timelines, deliverables, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards. - Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand project requirements and provide design leadership. - Providing technical support to the site team during execution, testing, and commissioning phases. - Mentoring and developing junior engineers to ensure continual technical growth within the team. - Supporting sustainability goals by incorporating energy-efficient and environmentally responsible design strategies. - Coordinating with procurement and estimation teams for technical inputs on HVAC equipment and materials. - Developing and implementing engineering best practices, design guidelines, and quality control processes. - Supervising the preparation of HVAC design documentation including BOQs, specifications, and reports. - Having good knowledge of various HVAC equipment like chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, and ventilation fans. - Staying updated with the latest products, technologies, and trends in the HVAC industry. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor of Technology (BTECH), Master of Technology (MTECH), or a Bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering. You should have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience and possess skills in HVAC design and HVAC controls.,
