Role & responsibilities Lead a team of technical professionals and oversee all primary engineering activities for 145kV to 420kV GIS. Manage primary engineering teams during project execution, focusing on post-order activities. Review, verify, and approve technical documentation (e.g., SLD, GSLD, GTP, layout foundation) during the execution phase for customer submissions, ensuring coordination of engineering drawing approvals and support during customer FAT inspections. Drive the development and optimization of engineering processes to enhance quality and streamline operations. Oversee engineering operations related to primary project engineering execution with hands-on involvement. Possess in-depth knowledge of high voltage power products, including metal-enclosed circuit breakers, product structures, and applicable material standards (ISO, IEC, DIN, ASME). Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align engineering activities with customer satisfaction goals. Review and validate the Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects in accordance with specific requirements. Preferred candidate profile B.E/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering with 15 to 18 years of relevant experience. M.E/MTech in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems is preferred. Preference for candidates with experience in HV GIS product engineering. Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, BIS, CIGRE) and exposure to global practices. Manage product lifecycles from concept to production , including prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing handoff. Ensure engineering deliverables meet design intent , cost , and manufacturability requirements , with adherence to quality standards. Perform or review design calculations , and guide FEA simulations (using tools like ANSYS or Inventor Nastran) to validate structural performance and compliance. Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge) Hands-on experience in product and structural design , specifically within metal fabrication , machined components , or other industrial products. Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D modeling and flat pattern development; working knowledge of Revit for handling BIM including design, visualize and collaborate structural designs. Strong experience in performing engineering design calculations including structural load estimations and basic stress analysis. In-depth understanding of metal processing techniques cutting, forming, punching, and welding and their impact on design feasibility.
