As a Mechanical Design Engineer II at Honeywell, you will be responsible for planning, configuring, and executing conveyor system projects for distribution centers. Your main focus will be ensuring the technical quality and effectiveness of the mechanical design. This includes creating and verifying conveyor layout, detail, air, load, structural drawings, schematics, and equipment orders as needed for the project. Additionally, you will be tasked with planning equipment layout, material flow, and implementing measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of resources and equipment on assigned projects. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines will be essential in developing and applying material handling equipment and solutions to meet project requirements. Your role will also involve directing and coordinating the building of prototypes, along with consulting with researchers and other engineers to address and resolve any problems encountered during project execution. You will be expected to perform various calculations and prepare detailed multi-view drawings based on engineering data and standard references. While in the field, you will be responsible for identifying safety concerns, ensuring equipment installation aligns with plans, communicating design issues and enhancements to customers, site superintendents, general contractors, and installation crews, and adjusting conveyor designs to accommodate field interferences. Reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be based out of our Pune, MH location, following a hybrid work schedule.,
