Job Description

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing workshop services for plant instrument maintenance according to approved Best Maintenance Practices & Procedures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Executing Instrumentation Maintenance tasks with a focus on quality. - Conducting risk assessments and strictly adhering to all safety norms for both routine and shutdown jobs. - Reviewing maintenance activities to prioritize critical jobs. - Carrying out turnaround and shutdown services efficiently. - Coordinating with other functions and ensuring follow-up for external repairs. - Participating in the preparation of the annual budget and providing inputs for resource optimization and planning. - Maintaining repair and test records for workshop activities on site. - Developing test procedures and formats as required. - Generating regular MIS and reporting documents, while maintaining historical records. - Ensuring compliance with IMS documents. - Supporting the Sr. Workshop Engineer in spares inventory management and issuing spares for job execution. - Inspecting material received at stores for quality assurance. - Complying with HSE standards including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, and mandatory HSEF trainings. - Assisting in statutory compliance related to workshop facilities at the site. - Preparing audit-related documents for the manager. - Ensuring accurate As-built documentation. - Calibrating all PCI/SCI/TCI as per guidelines and schedules. - Managing the maintenance of site common areas. - Ensuring compliance with CSM requirements. Qualifications required for this role include a BE/ME/BTech/MTech degree in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial/instrumentation workshop maintenance. You should possess the following skills and competencies: - Knowledge of various codes and standards. - Ability to work in a team, lead and develop people. - Domain knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering. - Strong decision-making and change management skills. - Problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication skills. - Analytical thinking. - Self-initiative. - Good interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with Instrumentation workshop practices.
