Engineer, Staff

As an experienced Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced power management solutions for various product segments such as Mobile, Compute, XR, IoT, and Automotive. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating closely with Architecture, Hardware Design, and cross-functional teams - Performing pre-silicon validation on emulation platforms for upcoming chipsets - Contributing to system power, performance, and timeline optimizations To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - 8-12 years of experience in embedded or system software development - Understanding of Low Power mode architecture and work experience in developing LPM enablement firmware - Strong grasp of CPU architecture, caches/coherency/MMU, and power/thermal management - Experience with RTOS or Linux, and low-level debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) - Proficiency in C programming, ARM assembly, and SW architecture/design - Additional experience in Linux kernel driver development and upstreaming is a plus - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills You will be working independently with minimal supervision, providing guidance to other team members, and making critical decisions that highly impact program, product, or project success. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying complex information. Your tasks may involve multiple steps, requiring extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization for effective completion.
