Engineer, Senior - Soc Infra

As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to deliver cutting-edge products that exceed customer expectations. Collaboration with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams is essential to design system-level software solutions and gather performance requirements and interfaces. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering experience - OR Master's degree in relevant field with 1+ year of Software Engineering experience - OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - 2+ years of experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's/master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - Job function involves working on SoCInfra SW driver development and embedded Core driver development - Desired skills/experience include 3-6 years of relevant experience Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Proficiency in Low level C programming - Strong exposure to Embedded systems & Real-Time Operating systems concepts - Familiarity with processor architecture (preferably ARM), Interrupts, GPIOs, etc. - Experience with debugging tools like Lauterbach and Trace tools - Ability to analyze, triage, and debug complex system-level problems - Strong problem-solving and analysis skills, effective communication, and eagerness to learn - Experience in Embedded Core driver development is a plus - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Level of Responsibility: - Works under supervision - Decision-making may impact work beyond immediate work group - Requires effective verbal and written communication skills - Tasks require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization for effective completion Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
