As an Engineer/ Senior Engineer - Instrumentation & Controls specializing in Codesys, your role at Atlas Copco (India) Private Ltd. in Baroda within the Research and Development functional area will involve working with a diverse range of industries such as electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, and infrastructure. Additionally, experience with OOP design, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and a strong problem-solving mindset will be crucial for success in this role. Your key responsibilities will include PLC programming and industrial automation tasks, such as developing, debugging, and maintaining automation programs using Codesys and Straton software. You will also program and troubleshoot Rockwell and Siemens PLCs in multiple languages, as well as have knowledge of other PLCs like Beckhoff, Sebo, Turk, Omron, and various communication protocols. Applying OOP principles to automation solutions, utilizing version control tools like Tortoise SVN and Git, and collaborating within Agile/Scrum teams for solution development, testing, and deployment will be part of your daily tasks. Moreover, you will work on troubleshooting, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of control systems. To excel in this role, you should hold a BE/B.Tech/M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Electronics/E & TC with 4 to 9 years of experience in designing and programming within an engineering or product organization. Strong skills in PLC programming, OOP, Agile/Scrum environments, Python, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and learning abilities are essential requirements. Preferred skills include knowledge of C, C++, Java, experience with BN 3500 Programming software, familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical for control system design, and expertise in Excel VBA scripting for automation.
