Technology trends like digitization of workflows, e-Aviation, Sensorization, Product localization, Design automation, Agile, DFX, and Model-based designs have increased the operational efficiency and application productivity. Job Description Job Title: Engineer - Product Engineering Bearings Reports To: Manager - PD&E Bearing, Industrial-BBU Role Type: Individual Contributor Location: Bangalore Role Purpose: Carry out all Engineering activities related to the design of products within the portfolio to achieve exceptional results through personal effectiveness, partnering with others, and building customer loyalty, fulfilling their needs efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities: Functional - Strong engineering knowledge. - Experience in conceptual design and development activities. - Understanding of PDP process and quality requirements. - Proficiency in modeling, assembly, and detailing in Creo. - Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and interference calculations. - Experience in design automation and related tools. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection. - Proficiency in Geometric Product Specification (GPS) and tolerances. - Understanding of metrology and metallurgy aspects. Managerial/Leadership - Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. - Timely actions on audit points and root cause analysis. - Compliance with safety, health, environment (SHE) guidelines. - Following quality specifications and identifying improvement opportunities. Key Deliverables: - Create and release engineering drawings and bill of materials. - Drive digitalization activities for future modular design processes. - Develop engineering requirement specifications for bearing components. - Define project schedules, release drawings for prototypes, and coordinate with vendors.
