Engineer II QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience, you will be an integral part of our team in Chennai. Your primary focus will be on automation testing, Java, and API testing. If you have knowledge or exposure to AI/ML concepts, it will be an added advantage. Your role will require a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure software quality through automation frameworks and rigorous testing strategies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks for web and API testing. Your expertise in Java will be crucial in developing automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Additionally, you will conduct API testing to validate backend services, collaborate with various teams to define test strategies and quality standards, and perform different types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and performance issues through appropriate tools. You will also contribute to the CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated test suites for continuous testing and stay updated with industry trends and emerging automation tools to enhance testing processes. Essential skills for this role include expertise in automation testing frameworks and tools, proficiency in Java for scripting and automation development, hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks, familiarity with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar automation testing frameworks, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test strategies. Preferred skills include knowledge or exposure to AI/ML testing methodologies, experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests, familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, understanding of cloud-based testing environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and knowledge of version control systems like Git.
